Advent Vespers Please join us for mid-week services during Advent as we focus on the meaning and purpose of prayer. Each service will begin at 6:00 pm. In conjunction with our Advent vespers, we are hosting a family activity starting at 5:15 pm. We hope you can join us! Wednesday, December 1 Pastor Mike Heuer on "Prayers of Thanksgiving" Family Activity- Making Advent Wreaths Wednesday, December 8 Pastor Mark Metze on "Prayers of Intercession" Family Activity- Making Christmas Ornaments Wednesday, December 15 Pastor Gerald Miller on "Prayers of Adoration" Family Activity- Making Christmas gift bags for Christmas Eve worship Adult Forum/Sunday School "How then shall we live?" Reading the letters of Peter in the present age. Led by Pastor Emeritus Gerald Miller November-December. Sunday school for all ages continues. Quilts for Sale This past Sunday was extremely successful for the Quilters! Thanks to the generosity of our AELC family, the quilts and other items earned over $1,600! For that amount, the group can purchase enough batting (quilt middles) for over 300 quilts to give to those in need. The remaining quilts will be on display for today and those not purchased ($25 each) will be divided between the Lutheran Mission Society and Linda's Legacy (local homeless project). Thank you so much for supporting this ministry. Men’s Bible Study Join the men’s Wednesday morning Bible study at 8:00 A.M. at the IHOP in Edgewater. There is also a Thursday Bible study in Crofton at Grumps Cafe at 7:00 A.M. Worship Worship continues Sundays at 10:00 A.M. in the sanctuary. The worship service will continue to be recorded and posted to our YouTube channel which can be accessed through our website. Outreach Food Giveaway with the church group, Faith United Ministries in District Heights, MD on this Saturday, December 4th. Please sign up on the sheet posted on the bulletin board in the back of the sanctuary to let Sharon know what you will be bringing to share. Join us for good food and good conversation.
